The Integrated Photonic Systems Roadmap describes where photonic integration stands today and where it is heading — developed by working groups from industry and research, and openly reviewed by contributors from across the global photonics ecosystem.
IPSR brings together the global integrated photonics community around a shared roadmap: a common view of the technology, the applications it enables and the gaps still to close.
We map where photonic integration stands today: which building blocks are production-ready, which platforms compete, and where the chain is missing capacity.
The result is one shared reference that companies, institutes and funders can plan against.
Working groups per chapter draft the text, after which the whole roadmap goes out for open review. Every comment is signed, discussed and either processed or answered.
One edition per year, with a review window of twelve weeks.
Seventeen organisations contribute from across the full photonics value chain, including fabless chip companies, foundries, design houses, packaging and test specialists, component and module suppliers, OEMs, system integrators, end users, investors, universities and research institutes.
Anyone working in the ecosystem can request a contributor account.
